Tapping To Relieve Anxiety: EFT In 5 Simple Steps for Moms




Moms have to deal with great anxiety and stress, the worst part of it is how hard it is to embrace it!. It is like we are not allowed to feel that way. We have to stay strong for our family. Truth be told, we actually suffer anxiety in silence. I’ve been there and tapping was a great opportunity for me. Sometimes you feel so overwhelmed that you know what you have to do, and still you can´t. Sometimes we want to be more into mindfulness and it is really hard to meditate over Joe Dispenza if you are a newbie to this world.

EFT for its English letters means “Emotional Freedom Technique” is a great way to start your mindfulness journey. It is an active way of meditation. You are totally aware during the process and it is an easy way to transition yourself into deeper meditative solutions.

Emotional Freedom Technique is an effective therapy for physical pain and mental distress. It is sometimes referred to as finger tapping, tapping meditations or therapeutic acupressure.

People who use this approach claim that calming the body will build a balance in the energy supply and relieve pain. According to its author, Gary Craig, energy destruction is the source of all negative emotions and suffering.

While still under investigation, EFT tapping has been used to treat people with anxiety and people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

How Tapping Therapy Works?

Compared to acupuncture, EFT works on meridian points — or energy hot spots — to bring equilibrium to the energies of the body. It is assumed that maintaining this emotional equilibrium will alleviate the effects the bad behavior or anxiety may have triggered.

Based on Chinese medicine, meridian points are considered to be regions of body energy passing across. Such mechanisms help regulate the release of energy in order to preserve your well being. Some disparity may have an effect on sickness or disease.

Acupuncture uses a needle to apply pressure to certain energy points. To add air, EFT uses fingertip tapping.

Proponents believe taping lets you access the strength of the body and sends messages to the part of the brain that regulates pain. They say that stimulating meridian points by EFT tapping will minimize tension or negative emotions that you feel from your question, and eventually restore equilibrium to your disrupted energy.

Tapping Meditation Process: 5 Simple Steps

The EFT taping can be divided into five stages. If you have more than one concern or apprehension, you should replicate this series to resolve it and reduce or remove the strength of your negative feelings.

Step 1: Identify The Issue

If you have defined your problem region, you need to set a target standard of severity. The strength rating is rated on a scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being the worst or the most complicated. The meter measures the mental or physical distress and irritation you experience from your focal point.

Establishing a target lets you track your success by running a full EFT sequence. If your initial level was 10 before tapping and finished at 5, you will have accomplished a 50 percent increase.

Of starters, you can’t think, “Even if my mother is ill, I love and accept myself.” You have to reflect on how the situation makes you feel in order to alleviate the pain it creates. It’s best to come to terms with this situation by saying, “While I’m sorry my mother is ill, I love and accept myself.”

Step 4: Tapping Sequence

The EFT tapping sequence is a methodical tapping at the end of nine meridian scales.

There are 12 major meridians which represent each side of the body and correspond to the internal organ. However, EFT focuses primarily on the following nine:

  • karate chop (KC): small intestine meridian
  • top of head (TH): governing vessel
  • eyebrow (EB): bladder meridian
  • side of the eye (SE): gallbladder meridian
  • under the eye (UE): stomach meridian
  • under the nose (UN): governing vessel
  • chin (Ch): central vessel
  • beginning of the collarbone (CB): kidney meridian
  • under the arm (UA): spleen meridian

Start by tapping the karate chop point while reciting the setup term three times at the same time. Then press each of the following points seven times, going down the body in this ascending order:

  • eyebrow
  • side of the eye
  • under the eye
  • under the nose
  • chin
  • beginning of the collarbone
  • under the arm

End the series at the top of the head point after touching the underarm point.

When tapping the ascending lines, repeat a warning phrase to keep the trouble area centered. If your set-up phrase is, “Even though I’m sad my mother is sick, I love and accept myself,” your reminder phrase might be, “The pain I feel my mother is sick.” Repeat the series two to three times.

Step 5: The Final Intensity

At the conclusion of the sequence, score the strength on a scale from 0 to 10. Compare the performance with your original degree of pressure. When you haven’t hit 0, repeat this cycle until you do so.

In Conlusion

EFT tapping is an alternative treatment through acupressure therapy used to add equilibrium to the disturbed body. This has become an approved therapy for combat veterans with PTSD and has seen certain effects such as anxiety, depression, physical discomfort, and insomnia.

While there are some success stories, researchers are also researching its usefulness in certain illnesses and diseases. Seek to follow conventional recovery methods. However, should you plan to try this replacement treatment, contact a physicians first to minimize the risk of damage or deterioration of symptoms.

    Mothers are faced with anxieties on daily basis but still no one knows about it and as a mother they never complain instead they remain strong for the family. Although, the fact remains that they are actually suffer anxiety in silence. That is why we all need to take care our mothers,because a mother will not rest if her family is not taking care of, and I believe that is the reason for this mother’s anxiety.
